Rockford Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary medical facility, located in Rockford, MI. Our professional and courteous staff at Rockford Animal Hospital seeks to provide the best possible medical care, surgical care and dental care for our highly valued patients.

Nicholas Vito, DVM

VETERINARIAN & PRACTICE OWNER

Dr. Vito is originally from St. Clair, Michigan, a small town on the east side of the state. His desire to become a veterinarian first seeded under the guidance and mentorship of his family veterinarian, who cared for his beloved childhood beagle named Sydney. Further inspired by the James Herriot novel “All Creatures Great and Small” and his time living and working at the MSU dairy farm, he set his ambition on becoming a veterinarian and attended Michigan State University, where he graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Now with over ten years of local veterinary experience, the greatest fulfillment of Dr. Vito’s practice resides in maximizing the human-animal bond, providing quality, individualized patient care, and building collaborative relationships with pet owners. 

Outside of his time at Rockford Animal Hospital, Dr. Vito enjoys romping around the woods in search of forest finds and critters. He is an avid morel mushroom forager and like all good morel hunters, he can’t tell you where his bounty hides, though some may certainly locate in the vicinity of his family’s hideaway cabin in Harrison. He likes to travel, stay active, and compete in road races and triathlons with his athletically ambitious wife, Kristi. Together they share two pups, Gaia and Winnie, who are equal parts adorable and mischievous.

Carol Good, DVM

VETERINARIAN

Dr. Good is a Michigan State University graduate and has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 32 years. She came to work at Rockford Animal Hospital in 1992 and took ownership just a couple of years later. She shares her life with her frisky kitty, Sweetie. When Dr. Good is not at the hospital helping owners keep their pets healthy and happy, she spends her time doing various hobbies that include gardening, reading, shoe shopping and decorating.

Dr. Good has a passion for cats and dogs, you can see and feel it as soon as you meet her. She absolutely loves when she gets a patient to really like her. As a Cat Friendly Practice, she strives to make every cat patient as comfortable as possible. Dr. Good has a big heart and a lot of love to share. Becoming a doctor was her true calling.

Tabetha

Practice manager, lvt

Tabetha has been with the Rockford Animal Hospital team since 2014. She received her Bachelor in Animal Science from Michigan State University in 2012 and her Associate in Veterinary Technology from Sanford Brown University in 2014. She loves every aspect of her career but enjoys working with feline patients the most and working to create a stress-free environment for all. She shares her life with her husband, daughter, two cats, and two Labrador Retrievers. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, camping, and spending time by the water.

ASHLEE

LICENSED LEAD Veterinary Technician

Ashlee became a member of the Rockford Animal Hospital team in 2017 and is no stranger to veterinary medicine. She is a graduate of the Veterinary Technician program at Sanford Brown with an Associate of Applied Science. Ashlee feels the family atmosphere and great clients makes our hospital an amazing place to work. When she isn’t sharing her time with the team, she is at home with her husband, sons, two dogs and two cats. You can find her outside going on adventures when the weather is nice, crafting or reading.

Bethany

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Bethany graduated from Baker College in 2016 with her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She joined Rockford Animal Hospital in January 2021 as part of our surgery team. Growing up in 4H, Bethany has always had a natural love for animals and caring for them. Proof of this is her two dogs and four cats – she cannot turn away a stray! Bethany and her husband welcomed a new daughter into their family in November 2020. She loves being home with her family, going on outdoor adventures, her church, crafting, and finding great deals at garage sales.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Cecilia graduated from Baker College in 2022 with her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She joined Rockford Animal Hospital in July 2024. She is level III Fear Free Certified. 

Isabelle

VETERINARY Assistant

Isabelle joined the Rockford Animal Hospital team in 2018. She shares her life with her two bunnies, Lucy and Ezra, and her rescue dog, Frankie. Isabelle has always been passionate for animals and hopes to someday start her own animal sanctuary. When Isabelle has free time, she enjoys spending it outdoors and thrifting.

Lexi

VETERINARY Assistant

Lexi started working at Rockford Animal Hospital in 2020. Her favorite part of working in the veterinary field is building relationships with the clients and their pets. Lexi currently has her Associate in Applied Arts & Science. When she is not working, you can find her enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She shares her life with her boyfriend, Chihuahua Lilly, and cat Emmie. 

Caitlin

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Caitlin joined Rockford Animal Hospital as a front desk receptionist in February 2021. She quickly found her passion for animal care and transferred to an assistant position at the end of 2021. In her free time, she loves spending time with her dogs Desmond and Bauer, playing volleyball, traveling, and camping.

Connie

RECEPTIONIST

Connie started working at Rockford Animal Hospital in 2018 and has worked in the veterinary field for 20 plus years. She shares her life with her husband, daughter, grandson, and their two cats including the previous office cat, Kenny. She enjoys track days and auto crosses with her car. She also enjoys gardening, riding bicycle and spending time with family.

Jenny

RECEPTIONIST

Jenny started working at Rockford Animal Hospital January 2022. She has worked in the veterinary industry for over 30 years. She has continued to further her education over the years and has a wide base of patient and client care skills. Her most recent accomplishment is her Fear Free Certification. She prides herself in helping everyone she interacts with feel like family. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time outdoors and with family and friends.

pet groomer

Susan is a certified pet groomer since 2010. She went to Paragon School of Pet Grooming from 2009-2010. She has been married to her husband Jeff for 22 years and is the pet parent to a Boston Terrier named Clark. She enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also loves baking and cooking.
